HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
Grade 1 has been inquiring into time. What is time? How is time connected to your personal history?
Our class is learning to tell and show time by the hour and half hour using analog and digital clocks.
After a couple of weeks of exploring time the children started paying more attention to our wall clock. You will probably start noticing your child glancing more at the wall clock and watches at your home.
Our class designed the most amazing one of a kind analog clocks!
What can you do in a minute? Grade 1 wanted to find out what they can do in a minute. Can you jump 100 time in a minute? Can you clap your hands 1000 time in a minute?
Our class started exploring height using conventional and non-conventional tools. This week we wanted to find out how many centimeter tall each person in our class measures. We made predictions and measured everybody's height using a tape measure.Have a great weekend!
